Green tea is one of the healthiest beverage and superfood that you need to consume every day!

Studies have shown at the University of British Columbia in 2007 found that the polyphenols in green tea is known to decrease sulfur compounds in the mouth that can cause bad breath.

Besides being a superfood that can get rid of bad breath, green tea has many potent benefits due to its significant antiviral, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant (notably catechins and flavonoids).

In addition, green tea contains many beneficial dietary minerals (magnesium, manganese and potassium), folic acid, B vitamins, essential amino acids, enzymes, carbohydrates, lipids, sterols, phytochemicals and other related compounds. It also contains alkaloids including caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine.

According to the University of Maryland Medical Center found that the amino acid properties in green tea called  ‘L-theanine’ has a calming effect on the nervous system.

The polyphenols contained in green tea are known as catechins. Green tea contains six primary catechin properties: catechin, gallaogatechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate, and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is the most studied polyphenol component in green tea and the most active anti-oxidant known for its action to reduce the risk of many chronic diseases as well as help weight loss, maintain blood pressure, deabetes, cholestorel and many more.
